Statement: Balimo College recognised as a Higher Education Institute
The Governing Council of the Balimo College is delighted to announce that it has been formally recognised as a Higher Education Institute by the National Higher Technical Education Board of the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST). This recognition has been granted in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education (General Provisions) Act 2014, as amended in 2020, under Section 14(1)(i) and 55(4)(a).
GRADE 12 FODE STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM BALIMO COLLEGE
A total of 115 grade 12 FODE students from remote Middle Fly villages in Western Province recently graduated from the Balimo College FODE Centre after successfully completing their grade 12 studies under the FODE program.
BALIMO COLLEGE BRINGS TERTIARY EDUCATION TO REMOTE WESTERN PROVINCE
The Balimo College in Western Province has welcomed its first intake of 40 students who are now enrolled in the Primary Teacher training program. It is the first ever Teachers College for Western Province, a PNG Sustainable Development Program (SDP) education initiative, managed by KTF with technical support from Western Sydney University.
